
Josette Halpert
Josette’s first on screen role married both her love of acting and her years of competitive dance training in her supporting role of “Alison Hargate” in the Disney franchise Molly: An American Girl. Later, she’d go on to play a young Ellen Page in The Stone Angel. Other screen credits include the feature film Flash of Genius alongside Greg Kinnear, and Lauren Graham, Big News From Grand Rock with Aaron Ashmore, Level 16 and Antisocial 2 where she plays the lead role of “Bean”.
She’s guest-starred with roles on Beauty and the Beast (CW) and Rookie Blue (ABC/Global) for which she received a Joey Award and Saving Hope (CTV/NBC). The Other Kingdom(Nickelodeon/Family Channel) marked Josette’s first series regular role on television, for which she was awarded a Young Entertainer Award, Best Supporting Actress in a Series.
Recently, she can be heard as werewolf twins Sophie and Charlotte on Disney’s Hotel Transylvania: The Series. And she holds a series regular role on Disney’s worldwide hit, Go Away Unicorn! (Disney/ YTV), alongside Chris Diamantopoulos (the voice of Mickey Mouse).
Along with this long list, Josette completed her BFA Honours in Screenwriting at York University and was selected for the Emerging Art Critics Programme soon afterward, working under the guidance of the Toronto Sun’s John Coulbourn to produce reviews for The National Ballet of Canada and the Toronto Symphony for their recent seasons. In her spare time, she teaches dance and inspires youth to pursue careers in the arts. She is determined to be a role model and driving force as an actor, critic and writer in the entertainment industry.
