Episode 20: Special – Aboriginal Community Of Lac Simon

Tonight is a very special episode on Radio-Dodo: It’s the 1st broadcast dedicated to Aboriginal children! For the occasion, we begin the program with an interview with Vincent Rousson who explains to Sanaa Bendahmane the definition of the the term First Peoples. Our friends at Amikobi School sing their favorite songs and give us animal names in Anishnabe! Then, we listen to Alex Cheezo who talks about the Anishnabe music group. He introduces the titles Raymond and Rosa have chosen for you. Virginia will read us a tale in Anishnabe which Sanaa Bendahmane subsequently translates. Our friend Macha Grenon is back to read us a beautiful native legend. Director Charles Binamé offers us the beautiful story of Calou, which he himself wrote especially for Radio-Dodo. Finally, we end the show with beautiful music straight from the Anishnabe community of Lac Simon and performed by Rosa Cheezo, a young Aboriginal artist. Have fun and welcome to our friends from Lac Simon !
